The Beckham Bird Club of Louisville, Kentucky, was founded in 1935 by a group of local citizens interested in bird conservation and observation. In the ensuing years, it has remained the principal birding organization in the Louisville region. The club holds monthly meetings, an annual dinner in March with a nationally recognized guest speaker, an annual picnic in June, and regular field trips in every month but July. The Beckham Bird Club is an affiliate of the Kentucky Ornithological Society.
The Beckham Bird Club is governed by a board of directors in accordance with by-laws approved by the membership. For more information on the by-laws, the board and duties of officers, see the tabs under this heading.
