There are many exciting and informative activities this Spring. Click to open and download the following document:
- Monthly Meetings -
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month (except March and June) at 7:00 p.m. at the Clifton Center, 2117 Payne Street off of Frankfort Avenue. Occasionally our meetings are held at other locations, the newsletter indicates any such changes. Programs are varied and include lectures, discussions, panels, slides, movies and the many phases of ornithological study.
- Field Trips -
Competent field trip leaders, usually from within the club, open up for you the world of birds in and around Louisville and southern Indiana. Learning about birds, enjoying nature, and being with fellow birders are all part of the regularly scheduled field trips.
Always check the monthly newsletter for any changes/updates to the list of field trips, and if you're not a member of the Beckham Bird Club and plan to go on a field trip, please contact the leader in advance to let him/her know you plan to attend.

- Annual Birdathon -
The Beckham Bird Club raises money for conservation, nature and bird-related causes every year by holding a Birdathon in which members see how many species they can record in a given period of time. Supporters donate to the cause based on how many species the participants identify during the Birdathon. Throughout the years the Beckham Bird Club has given grants to many organizations including Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission; Kentucky Natural Lands Trust; Kentucky Resources Council, Inc; Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky, Inc.; The Louisville Nature Center; and Operation Migration.
